Year 8 Ignite French Tutoring
In term 4 of this year I began tutoring at Glenunga International High School. I have a small class of 5 year 8 French students who, as participants of the Ignite Program, will skip year 9 and go straight into year 10. Because they skip a year they miss a lot of the necessary basics needed to be successful in year 10. As such, I work with them to work on grammatical constructions and new vocabulary which will help to prepare them for year 10.
Teaching Observation: Mount Barker High School
Observation at Mount Barker High School - July 2014.
This was my second observation, this time it was in a high school. I observed as many classes as possible, French, History, Maths, Science, Home Ec. and English. It was a lot of fun. I had two amazing mentors. Ross Rose and Riley Sabey. Both of my mentors showed me the importance of positive respectful relationships, and how they form the foundations of preventative discipline. |

Teaching Observation: Our Lady Queen of Peace
Observation at Our Lady Queen of Peace - October 2012.
This was one week of observation at a small primary school in the western suburbs. I was with a year 4/5 class, I did all of the usual things: reading with children, spelling tests, story time, reading the roll. I also designed an obstacle course for their olympics day. It was a lot of fun and a very good introduction into school life.
